Community Involvement

We live in the same neighborhoods we service. The local schools, the nonprofits, the seasonal events — they’re part of why Leawood and the rest of south Johnson County feel like the kind of place we wanted to build a business in. A small, family- and veteran-owned company doesn’t have a corporate sponsorship budget like a national chain, but we put real time and support behind a handful of causes that matter to us. Here’s where.

Veterans & Service Members

As a veteran-owned business, we feel particular gratitude toward the veterans and active-duty service members in our community. We offer a 10% discount on service for verified veterans, active-duty military, and first responders, and we partner periodically with local veterans organizations on home-comfort assistance for veteran families facing HVAC emergencies. If you’re a veteran with a heating or cooling problem you’re worried about, call us — we’ll work with you.

Local Schools & Youth Programs

We support youth athletics and educational programs in the Blue Valley and Shawnee Mission school districts through periodic sponsorships and equipment donations. The HVAC field needs the next generation of skilled technicians, and exposing local students to the trade matters to us — we’ve hosted career-day visits and provided shadow days for high school students considering the trades.

Neighborhood & Civic Organizations

We sponsor or contribute to a rotating set of local civic organizations and seasonal events across Leawood, Overland Park, Prairie Village, Mission, Merriam, and Lenexa. Past partnerships have included community festivals, neighborhood association events, and local parks-and-recreation programs that serve the communities we work in.

Nonprofits & Causes

7th Degree provides discounted or pro bono HVAC service in select cases for local nonprofits serving elderly homeowners on fixed incomes, families in housing crisis, and similar situations where a heating or cooling emergency would be devastating. If you know of a household facing a no-heat or no-cool emergency they genuinely can’t address financially, call us — we’ll figure something out. We can’t help everyone, but we’ll always look at the situation honestly.

Industry & Trade

We’re active members of ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America), which keeps us current on code, refrigerant transitions, best-practice training, and the technical guidelines (Manual J, Manual S, Manual D) that ground our installation work. We also mentor newer technicians in the local trade because the industry’s only as strong as the people coming up in it.
