Meet the Team
The same crew shows up year after year — that’s part of what makes a family-owned, veteran-owned shop feel different from a national chain. Our technicians live in the same neighborhoods we service, train continuously on the equipment we install, and care about doing the job right because they’re going to be back next season. Meet the people behind 7th Degree Heating and Air.
Leadership
Parker Lacasse
Founder & Owner
A military veteran and lifelong Kansan, Parker founded 7th Degree Heating and Air in 2015 with one principle: do the work the right way, every time, and the rest takes care of itself. With over 15 years in the HVAC trade, he holds Johnson County’s Class “DM” Mechanical Contractor License (DM-24-11873) and personally oversees installations and major service work in Leawood and across the south metro. When he’s not on a job site, Parker is usually with his family, working on the next equipment training cycle for the team, or doing volunteer work with local veterans organizations.
Service Technicians
Marcus Henderson
Lead Service Technician
Marcus has been with 7th Degree since 2018 and brings over a decade of HVAC experience to the team. EPA Section 608 Universal certified and NATE-certified in air conditioning, he specializes in diagnostic work — the difficult intermittent failures that take measurement and patience to track down. Marcus lives in Lenexa with his wife and three kids, and you’ll often find him at his son’s youth baseball games on Saturdays.
Danny Rivera
Installation Technician
Danny leads most of our installation crews and has overseen hundreds of furnace, AC, heat pump, and ductless mini-split installations across Johnson County. EPA 608 Universal certified, he’s the team’s go-to on complex installs and ductless systems. Danny grew up in the Kansas City area and lives in Overland Park with his family. Off the clock, he’s restoring an old motorcycle in his garage.
Jamal Thompson
Service Technician
Jamal joined the team in 2022 after completing his HVAC technical training and has been on the maintenance and service rotation since. EPA 608 Universal certified, he handles the bulk of our seasonal tune-ups and is often the friendly face on the first visit for new maintenance plan customers. Jamal lives in Mission and is an avid cyclist on the local trail network.
Office & Dispatch
Rebecca Lacasse
Office Manager & Dispatcher
Rebecca runs the office side of 7th Degree, handling scheduling, billing, customer follow-up, and the daily logistics that keep the trucks moving. If you’ve called us, you’ve likely talked to Rebecca. She joined the company in 2017 and has helped grow it from a small startup to the established local business it is today. Rebecca and Parker live in Leawood and have two children.
What We All Share
Every technician at 7th Degree carries EPA Section 608 Universal certification for refrigerant handling. We work under Johnson County’s Class “DM” Mechanical Contractor License (DM-24-11873). We use instruments — meters, gauges, manometers, combustion analyzers — instead of guesses, because measured work is good work. And we treat your home and your time the way we’d want ours treated.
